So far the month of February has been a slow melt. Everyday we get a tad over freezing, so it's still cold, but not quite cold enough to keep the snow around. The feeling of Spring seems closer than it should at this time and there's a magical feeling of winter melting away. We can only hope.
Today in art, all of my students were hard at work, allowing me to get a lot of other paperwork done. I found a place to post the newpaper (in the window of the tutoring center) which actually took quite of bit of emailing and asking around. I started working on a poster of our department class offerings (photo from my class shown-- finished poster to be posted in a couple of weeks). I met with my newspaper kids to plan the March issue. I had a lunch meeting and an afterschool meeting. I ended up leaving the building the same time Jessi did, after her basketball practice around 5:30pm. I picked up Balt from daycare and then after feeding and dropping him off, Jessi went shopping for a dress for the dance on Saturday. It took a while but we finished in time for me to make it to a yoga class. While I was in the middle of the class, I looked over and saw Erika practicing only a couple of mats over from mine. Neither of us noticed each other right away-- funny. She introduced me to her friend after, which was nice. But I got out quick, eager to get home and get to bed.
