After dinner we went to the Anne Frank House which is a museum that replicates the house Anne wrote her diary in. It is an amazing history lesson. Anne Frank’s father is the only survivor and spent his life rebuilding the house to become a museum, responding to letters written in response to Anne’s diary and finding discrimination. It was a somber experience that led to some great conversations on the bus to our hotel.
Shown above is our group, known only as "Wisconsin" and in the middle of us all is our tour director, James.
We are 150 meters from the beach and 25 Kilometers from Amsterdam at a Holiday Inn at Ijmuiden Seaport Beach (shown below). It’s great to have wifi, but only 1 hour free. The view is beautiful but the winds howl all night long. We went into the steam bath and sauna again. Monika is enjoying Dutch tv. We leave tomorrow for Germany.
