I was nervous. The kids work on the yearbook all year but it's created by students and I am a terrible editor! The kids planned the whole distribution time. Joe thought it was way too complicated BUT it went perfectly. We limited entry to students who had purchased books. Last year anyone could come in and mill about. I pushed kids to leave once they picked up their book. Last year kids stayed to sign each other's books. I had music playing quite loud to entertain ourselves but it was too loud for students to stand around and talk. I didn't hear of any complaints from students, teachers or administrators. I heard from one junior student that students were all raving about the book. One of my editors told me he combed the book for typos or misspelled words and he could not find a one. I heard from one student that some kids were eagerly scraping off our white out and giggling about the caption. I'm still a little nervous about that situation. By the end of the school day I was drenched in sweat and exhausted-- perfect time to get to the pool.
