I let Jessi sleep in today. She wants a few days to be an irresponsible teenager and better now than later. I'm hoping "doing nothing" will get old quickly (it's all she wants right now). After taking Monika to tennis at 7am, I went to a hot yoga class. Hot yoga in the morning was difficult, perhaps it was the hot coffee that preceded it, but I felt like I was suffocating by the end. The teacher who taught it this morning is a tough one and she was pushing me to make deeper bends in order to activate my core more, so maybe I just worked a lot harder. Either way, I was ready for lunch afterward...
I had lunch with Joe and Beth out in Fitchburg. Joe moved and we went to check out his new house (beautiful!) and then had lunch at Laredo's out there. I had to run off to pick up Jessi from driving school at 2pm and drop her off at the place she is dog sitting for the weekend. I came home, washed my car, did some laundry, swept, and just tried to get a bit productive. Melissa swung by to pick up her dog. Everyone but Jessi was happy to have her gone. I certainly didn't mind walking the thing, but would, if I had my choice, have a larger, mellower dog (like a black lab). Moni and Erika said they were happy with just cats. By dinner time the girls were all wanting dinner and I figured we would go out for a burger. I had a 2 for 1 coupon for the Nitty Gritty which makes great burgers and gives out free drinks on your birthday, so it's kind of popular for birthdays. We just went to celebrate dinner. It would have been nice to get a picture of the four of girls enjoying our meal, but I didn't bring my camera. Going out to eat twice in one day made me think I should start a restaurant section of my blog, but there's lots of blogs doing that already and I'm not sure I want to encourage this behavior.
