Coming home for lunch has been nice. Today Jim was there ready to eat with me (he was having breakfast). Balt was asleep, but woke easily for me to take him to go pee, then eat lunch. I have had to put the cat food up on a ledge so that Balt does not get into it and the cats have gotten used the change without issue. They are all learning to live with each other in peace. Having 4 pets, 3 teens and 2 adults all in one household has its challenges but only on occasion. We were all home this evening along with one of Erika's friends. It was something that doesn't happen often.
We are entering crunch time at school. Only 7 working days left until the semester is over, so kids are pretty busy working during class- it's nice. Today was PCT. I met with Joe during my time to talk about photography curriculum. After school I had to deal with a discipline issue--the not so fun part of being a teacher-- and it took way longer than I imaged it could. Erika and her friend were in my classroom using the torches. I waited until 5:25pm when Jessi's bb practice was done and then rushed home to make it to a yoga class. Monika went to Starbucks with Jim after school to do homework and then at 8pm we all collided into one space, but not for long. Erika is still on her winter break, so she goes out and about late while the rest of girls try to get to bed before 11pm. It isn't easy.
The way your heart beats makes all the difference
In learning to live
Spread before you is your soul
So forever hold the dreams within our hearts
Through nature's inflexible grace
I'm learning to live -- DREAM THEATER
