I got to work early again to stand with my teacher colleagues at the front of the building. When I got to my classroom I found my air was working and I had a new compressor all plugged in and ready to rock (picture to come soon). I did soldering demos in all of my beginning classes and lit up the acetylene torch for my advanced classes. It was a busy day in metals. Busy days are so much better than boring days all alone. After running home to let Balt out, I grabbed a couple of sandwiches and ate lunch with Josh today.
After work Jessi rushed me out the door to get home. She had late basketball practice which always messes up my evening. I did a Costco run for dinner, milk and fruit, then took Balt for a walk after taking Jessi to practice. A friend of mine with two dogs told me about a near by field that her dogs love, so Balt and I went to check it out. He did seem to love it but tired quickly and we came home. I got some cleaning in, made cookies and decided a late yoga class would too much to squeeze in.
After picking up Jessi, I camped out in front of my computer doing some research on the events of the past week for a timeline. I have decided to put together a special edition of the school newspaper with all the pictures that students have from all the marches and rallies. They are quite exciting and of course, an un-biased timeline is in order. Finding a student to do write an opinion that is for the governor and his bill is impossible and as I look on line for fact based information I don't see much in favor for what is going on in his administration (at least that I can find). The more I read, the more bothersome the whole situation is. I was never in support of the what the governor was doing, I just didn't let my emotions get all weirded out and take off work. While I have decided that I don't want to take this fight to the capitol, I can do a little something at school.
Even with all the crap I get from my friends at school for getting my news from FOX, I still prefer it over CNBC (I can't even watch that channel) or CNN (which isn't bad, just boring). I found this snippet on what's really happening and thought that there isn't a teacher at school that would disagree with Juan!
