...Spring Break sucks!"
That's what I heard Jessi say this morning. Later I heard Jim grumble, "What's up with the f@ck*ng weather?" (He does talk like a real soldier sometimes). Anyway, the reason I stuck around town was that both Jessi and Moni had sport commitments all week. Well, both had their sport activities cancelled today. We had freezing rain, sleet, thunderstorms with hail. REAL winning weather! I was tempted to just load up the car and go to Alabama-- why not all the way to Mexico?
So I managed a quick trip to school to pick up a few items, drop off a few items but do no work what so ever. I watched several episodes of Grey's Anatomy (okay, maybe a dozen, but I'm not counting). I went out to lunch with Monika but made beef stew for Jessi. Then right as Jim and I were about to buy tickets to see Jane Eyre, Erika called with car trouble. I spent the rest of the evening with Jim, picking Erika up and dealing with the Jetta. It wasn't a terrible day, just not what anyone dreams spring break will be like. The only great thing about the day was that I had plenty of firewood for my fire.
