We had a mild Winter Valentines Day. I started my day with a good walk with Balt and was at work early since both Jessi and Monika had meetings before school. My classes all worked industriously. There were singing valentines all day. No one in my classes got a one, but there were plenty in other art classes so I got to see a few of them. I ran out during my prep to get fancy cupcakes for Jessi, gluten-free ones for Monika and Melissa. I also picked up some soup for me and Melissa's lunch. Later Melissa got me a latte. I got a couple of valentines and one big bear hug that was pretty special. During my photo class a bunch of tulips were delivered from my husband which completely surprised me. Then after 5th hour, Jessi went home to get her stuff for an away BB game tonight, she got the paperwork in the mail we'd been waiting for all week! It is very official now-- she has been accepted to the Naval Academy and has the opportunity to completely change her life. It is a huge honor and quite the decision to make-- a 9 year commitment really (4 years of school and 5 years of service).
After school I came home, walked Balt and made gluten-free, vegan, Thai peanut noodles with broccoli-- delicious. Monika and I ate dinner while watching Nashville and I continued to work on my self-portrait. I'm waiting up for Jessi to get back from her BB game in Janesville. No word from twitter how it went (silence tends to mean no good news).
