I went to the post office today to mail a netflix DVD, a couple of bills, a couple of college decline forms and a large envelope with Jessi's Navy acceptance forms, a copy of her passport, a notarized birth certificate and a form indicating Jessi has no tattoos, piercings (other than ears) or scarification. It was an exciting errand. I grabbed myself a premium chicken wrap afterward from McD's (I love them!).
Monika's soccer game was cancelled but Jessi's track meet was not. I decided not to attend again. I'm not a very good athletic supporter. I don't do wet and cold not matter how proud I am of my child. So this spring there will not be very many photos of my girls doing their sports this year.
I finished a ring I was working on in class today. It is one of the best perks of teaching metals. Melissa is working on one too. I purchased us matching turquoise stones so we would have "matching" rings. Only her design will be a bit more fun. I like to keep things a bit more simple. I feel like it is important for my students to see me doing the very skills they are being asked to do. Tomorrow we start the transition to glass, so I can start planning what I will make in glass!
