and other non-productive holiday weekend stuff.
I fell asleep shortly after lying down last night around 7:30pm. I had a few interruptions, a phone call, I heard Erika's voice and of course Balt got me up twice but I got to catch up on sleep which felt very nice. I got up, made coffee, took Balt for a short walk, paid bills, did dishes and started laundry before making my way to the pool. It was overcast and cool so there were no crowds. It was wonderful. After lunch I took Monika to a friend's house and stayed talking with the mom for several hours, enjoying the visit. At 3pm, I was home alone with nothing pressing to do but lots to choose from. I worked on a power point, watched Deep Space Nine, walked Balt, watered the lawn and did more laundry. My husband decided to stay in Rochester to rest up for a busy start of a new year, which makes it a bit more restful for me as well. Jessi spent the day in Ocean City, MD at the beach with her sponsor family, Monika went paddle boarding on the lake with an old friend and Erika went to the Taste of Madison with her friends. Balt and I had the day to ourselves. He's clearly feeling better, but can still tell he's not at 100%.
