It was a wonderful end to a great birthday week. Melissa was in observing practicum students. She came waltzing in with arm full of Starbucks!! Joe offered to get me lunch earlier but today was the only free day I had and I wasn't even free during lunch. We made it a late lunch during 6th hour. Our school purchased some new equipment for showing live events. I helped Joe unpack and watched as he explained things to kids who work on Spartan News. It certainly has been exciting to see the progress we are making with technology in our department. I went home to walk Balt and then returned to school for the girls swimming meet. Jessi had her first swim meet tonight. It was a practice meet with freshman and juniors vs.sophs and seniors (I believe). I was excited for her since she'd been practicing so hard for so long without the fun of compeititon. I can't wait to see her team photo and get a glimpse of her in her Navy suit! I am planning to get to a meet next month during the Navy Homecoming weekend. I got Monika dinner and then dropped her off to see the football game. As I type, I'm sitting on the couch enjoying the comforts of home, watching the game streaming live. The stadium is stuffed as Memorial, rated 9th plays Sun Prairie, rated 4th. It's a very exciting season for football at Memorial! I am happy to be cheering for my students without having to suffer the crowd or cold.
