There was professional development today for teachers. Monika was up late working on a video for the in-service, which was very well received. My principal asked me today if we ever slept. I assured him I did but I am pretty sure Monika didn't get much sleep last night but it wasn't just because she was making a video. She went out with friends for dinner and invited them all to come over to watch a movie. Luckily she was able to sleep in late, but not me.
I got up early to workout and take Balt for a short walk. The highlight of my days this week has been my after school walks. The Autumn sights are so amazing-- lots of blue skies and orange trees. The meetings this morning were not wonderful but our department went out to lunch together and we were able to enjoy each other's company after while getting work done. I was hoping for a bit of actual "get stuff done time" but that was not in the schedule for today. Most likely there will be some of that tomorrow but I will not be at school tomorrow.
Monika and I leave for Milwaukee at 4am. We fly into Baltimore before 10am and run to Johns Hopkins for an 11am tour. It will be a long, busy day, but an exciting one. I have a bit too much packed but quite a few things will be left in Annapolis for Jessi. The two beach towels she asked for is taking up way too much suitcase space. I am tempted just to pick a couple up at a Target there, so I don't need to carry so much.
