It's a three day week at school so really, every day is Wednesday. Listening to my students, it sounds like a lot of kids are eager for a break. Lots of homework, tests and essays have kids complaining, including my own. My classes are all working pretty hard on projects. I'm trying to keep my CAMM class motivated to create stuff. One of my students made a great video that needs to be voted on in order for him to win a scholarship. I would love more kids to utilitize this class to do these kinds of projects.
Today Monika missed half the day going to a leadership panel she was invited to. I got silkscreen supplies out finally and began to work on cleaning and prepping for printmaking next week. I stayed after school working for a while and then went to pick up Balt from daycare. I made dinner and then took Erika Halloween shopping. Madison will be celebrating Halloween while Monika and I are in Annapolis, and Erika wanted me to help her with her costume before I left.
It was an extremely quiet evening, with not a whole lot to report. My homecoming flowers are looking very pretty (see photo). Monika now has time after school to watch a bit of Netflix or hang out with a friend before homework. It sure is nice to have a bit of time to smell the roses.
