I announced this year that I would only make vegetarian tamales and Erika complained, so I went ahead and made a small batch of roast beef tamales for her. I made 4 pounds of homemade pinto beans only to find Monika was very upset I didn't use black beans. Every year I tweek my recipe, no onions this year in the broth, no El Pato hot sauce cooked in the roast beef... preventing heart burn. I'm going to make a batch of sweet ones tomorrow. There's no room in the steamer for anymore for today.
Monika got me up early this morning so she could take the ACT. Balt and I got started cleaning and getting prepped for cooking. We went for a nice long walk after I finished the beef tamales and then started working on a batch of vegies. I got distracted with cooking and forgot to check CBS early to see if they showed any of the march on for the Army/Navy Game. I thought the game started at 3pm, but didn't realize that was Eastern time, so I was way off. By the time I turned on the game at 2:30pm, it had already started and I have no idea if they showed the march on, but I got to see scenes of the crowd. Luckily I can find posted photos on social media, so I got so see a bit.
