Balt and I got up early. We walked around the block and then popped over to Panera for breakfast treats and bread. I'd been craving toast all week. I enjoyed a cup of real coffee this morning with toast and homemade jam. It felt very indulgent.
I took Monika to school at 10:30am for soccer practice and I stayed on to prep screens in the dark room. As I was leaving school I completely freaked out as I realized my fitbit monitor bracelette was gone. Joe lost his at school last week and another teacher told me she didn't want to buy one because she heard they fall off too easily. Instead of going shopping, I retraced all my steps and ended up back home. I found it where I left it, charging. I never even had it on! I was glad to find it had never fallen off afterall. I was glad I ended up at home because Erika was up and my husband was home. We were all able to have some time chatting before I left to go grocery shopping. I picked a few items for Jessi, came home to pack them up and the left for the post office. I picked up a few boxes at Bed, Bath & Beyond for my closet. I pulled out ALL of my clothes and tossed anything stained, torn, shabby, too tight, or too short. I'm too old for short-shorts and minis. I filled 8 grocery bags full of stuff. I have a few things in my closet that I've had since college and still cherish. I have a bunch of workout leotards that are so obnoxious that I keep them as costumes now. Jessi wore them for team dress ups. Maybe someday I will wear them again.
My husband and I enjoyed a quiet dinner watching a new program. I took Balt for a late walk. The temps were in the mid forties. It's finally feeling quite comfortable to go for walks later in the day. Tomorrow we are in for even more warmth! I can't wait.
