Every year in March, I believe, we do a testing day at JMM. Today was that day. It has evolved through the years to become the day the frosh take the explore, the sophs take the PLAN, the Jrs take the ACT and the seniors shoot the senior video. I think the seniors do a few other things but nothing as important as shooting for the senior video. The tradition started in 2011 and has happened every year since. Joe heads the project up with his photo 3 students and one master mind video genius. It is always exciting to watch it all unravel and become a reality being played at graduation. While they are similar, each year is special with unique students and kind of chokes me up whenever I watch them -- any one of them, from any year.
Luckily I was assigned to help Joe, so my day was spent chit chatting and enjoying the company of friends and fun students. All the kids had to come back at the end of the day for 6th and 7th hour, which was new this year and kind of weird. After school I met with a few newspaper kids and then picked up Balt from daycare. I walked on the treadmill for an hour while Balt enjoyed sitting outside on the front yard. It isn't completely free of ice or old snow, but close. I got my pool membership paperwork in today's mail which means Summer won't long! I made quesadillas for dinner again and started to work on the third volume of my blog to book series. I'm hoping to go to bed early this evening because Monika has an early meeting in the morning.
