When I see funny things at school now, I have to get photos. I immediately think of the yearbook. And while things are going great, I still fear our not having enough photos. Today several boys were asked to take some boxed down to the custodial hallway. Of course they put the boxes on, ripping holes first in order to see. They were very pleased to stop and pose for me.
My painting class is wrapping up acrylic still lifes. I used my prep time to finish up screens for screen printing. I presented new ring projects to my metals classes and then stayed after school with yearbook editors to finalize templates. I have a great bunch of kids working on the yearbook, and I'm so glad to have them working with me. I remembered to get a picture at the end of our meeting. It's my #100happydays photo for today (see below) because working with these kids makes me happy.
I picked up Balt late from daycare and met up with Erika at home. We made potatoe tacos for dinner and enjoyed a rare meal together. She left with a friend while I stayed to put my feet up and read. I wanted to work on my artwork, finish up templates but instead, I spent an hour reading and then did dishes and paper work for school. I've got the weekend ahead with plenty of time to do more work.
