Balt and I woke up early to beat the heat and get our walk in. I came home and started working on the cars. I vacuumed and washed my Nissan and my dad's Ford Expedition that will soon become my new ride. It took most of the morning as the Ford hadn't been cleaned out in a long time and I had to clean out all of my stuff from the Nissan. I took both vehiclals to get gassed up -- $3.29 gal here in Cali.
I took a break to eat lunch and jump into the pool. I spread oatmeal on Monika's wounds. It seems the mosquito or spider bites we thought she got at the beach ended up being poison oak, which grows near the beach, out in the marsh area. Her and Jessi ran through bushes in the marsh area on their way to the showers instead of taking the path. For some reason Jessi left without a scratch. Monika ended up with a small rash that has spread from her scratching it so much. She's in for two weeks of dealing with this on her own using vinegar, calamine lotion and cold compresses. I made oatmeal for breakfast and spread the left over on her rashes and then wrapped them in plastic.
Once the afternoon sun went down, Monika and I got to packing up cars. I have old art work to bring back from my high school days for my show. My mom has lots of dishes, towels and cat cushions that she's giving me. Monika's stuff almost all fit in the Nissan and then we put the over flow into the Ford. Tomorrow we head out to Claremont.
