50 years ago today the first Vans store opened in California. I grew up knowing Vans were cool, I was not but I wore then anyway. Now every time I'm in California, I look for Vans on sale at Vans Stores. I've gotten them as low as $5 for a pair. I few years ago I had a pair made with custom colors because it was something I always wanted to do. I wore them out. I have to add sole inserts for extra support which make them perfect. I'll probably die in a pair.
Today started wet but ended with some sunshine. It was a fairly productive day. I've got several students out on an early spring break. I'm eager for my own spring break that starts when Monika gets here tomorrow night!
