Earlier this week, I found a Twizzler in back of my desk. I knew it was kind of old-- from the beginning of the school year but in the afternoon I am always eager for something sweet. I bit into what was supposed to be a soft, chewy candy and found that it was as hard as leather. As I struggled to bite into it, I chipped off a bit of enamel off the back of my bottom front tooth. By the end of the evening my tongue was cut up from rubbing against the chip, so I took matters into my own hands. I took a pedicure machine my mom gave me with a grinder head and ground down my tooth. I woke up the next morning with tooth pain. By noon I had called the dentist for an appointment and that appointment was finally this morning. Luckily by this morning my tooth wasn't hurting as much but my tongue was still sore. The dentist took a picture and an xray and told me I needed to get it filled. Since there was no decay, I could wait, which I decided to do since I only had a sub for 1/2 hour and the filling would take an extra hour. Instead, the dentist just ground down a bit more to make it more smooth. I was not scolded for using my own grinder but was warned that if I had hit a nerve, the pain would have been severe. Anyway, I was good to go to finish my Friday at school. The day flew by quickly. We have finished the senior section and almost have the freshman section done. 10 days left to get the sophs and juniors done, which should be fine. I came home late after school, fed Balt and ran off to hot yoga. I came home and heated up my turkey soup for dinner and enjoyed time off my feet at last. I spent some time dipping pretzels in chocolate this evening, prepping for some holiday giving. I'm so glad the weekend is here!
