Today was kind of a typical Saturday. I got up at 5am, watched some news and then took Balt for a long walk. He really likes going to the school. I'm sure because so much food is left around the campus!? I did a quick grocery run and then make pumpkin scones before going to hot yoga at 11am. I came home and made soup for lunch and then started cleaning out my kitchen cabinets and unscrewing them to prep them for removal. On Friday, Ron, the guy I hired to install my new cabinets will come to remove everything I haven't been able to. The more I can do, the less I will have to pay him to do. I got three fully done, three more to go (and four more drawers). I also started removing the wall paper and I'm struggling to decide on what color to paint the kitchen. My peach plan ended up looking awful-- too much like flesh tone. It made me think of Silence of the Lambs. Monika says teal, I'm thinking lettuce colored, but I've had so much warmth in there (bright yellow with rolled orange over), that I'm afraid to change it to a cool color. I also have to decide on a my counter tops-- butcher block wood or tile or what? Anyway, it's all beginning to really happen!
I ended my day with a fire and the first episode of Stranger Things, season 2. I had design work to do, bills to pay and other computer work to do as well, so I wanted to make sure I got most of the stuff on my long list of things to do done! Yearbook t-shirts are ready to be ordered on Monday (see below).
