For the last week I have been finishing up the yearbook at work. Everything is smooth sailing into the finish line. The kids are doing all the work but I am around to supervise and help if needed. I'm not needed all that much. I feel like it took me 10 years to get to a place where I do almost nothing and the kids do everything! I used to have to do the staff and freshman section-- no more! It's really nice. I suppose it took me about 10 years to get the newspaper running with almost no work on my end as well -- I'm 15 years in as the newspaper advisor. Anyway, it's been a great year. Everyone always asks about what we do in yearbook class after the book is done. Well, we spend several days celebrating! Then we work on the Index, the June issue of the newspaper and plan distribution. There is plenty for kids to do. The reality is they are all seniors and many have severe bouts of senioritis.
Last weekend I went up to Rochester and had a wonderful time with Jim. I have so much to do but it was nice to get away! Next week I am getting ready for my art show! There are only 44 days left of the school year and I have a loong list of things I still need to do!
